This version is vegan of course, can easily be made raw, is quick and not too sweet. It easily adapts to whatever you have on hand.

Ingredients
  • 4-5 Large or 6-8 Small Dates, pitted
  • 2-3 TBL Cocoa Powder or Raw Cacao Powder
  • ½ tsp vanilla powder, or extract or ⅛ tsp vanilla paste
  • ¼ inch piece of ginger, peeled
  • ½ tsp cinnamon
  • ¼ – ⅓ cup cashews or macadamia nuts or chia seeds or hemp seeds
  • Pinch of salt
  • 3-4 cups boiling water
  • (Optional add-ins: dash cayenne pepper, ⅛ tsp cardamom)
Instructions
  1. Add all ingredients to a high speed blender.
  2. Blend on high until smooth
  3. Serve and enjoy with your favorite breakfast.
