I have had a hard time writing lately. For one thing I wrote myself out during the September MoFo, posting everyday. But mostly right now with all that is going on here in the US, writing about food seems insignificant in the wake of the killing of our black brothers and sisters.
Last night I realized that if indeed #BlackLivesMatter then I must write about food. While this Euro dominated society we live in has its guns aimed at us it also has its poisonous foods aimed at us. We must stay aware of not just the overt acts of aggression against us but also the less obvious ones.
We are dying from our “food bourn illnesses” of diabetes, heart disease, cancer, etc at staggering rates. Many others of us are disabled and unable to fulfill our life’s purpose. Meanwhile those who seem healthy are seeing the world through a toxic food induced foggy brain.
How can we hope to raise our people up like this? We must join the Food Revolution so that we have the clarity of mind, the longevity, the strength, and the spiritual awareness to restore our Afrikan community to its rightful place as the leaders of a strong, just and fruitful society.
I said it before in my video as seen on the home page of this site. Here it is again.
And here is Earth Amplified, featuring Stic of Dead Prez breaking in down.
I am heartened to see so many of us waking up and saying “We’re not going to eat it anymore!” and moving to a vegetarian or vegan lifestyle. This is a sign we are moving in the right direction.
Let’s take it further! Do you know someone of Afrikan descent who is struggling to make the transition? Make sure they know about this site and other resources available. Support them as best you can.
I want to hear from you. How do you think our diet is linked to the struggle of our people?

Hi Ama,
i respect and admire your vision,to bring unity and health to our people.
my heroes are wangari maathai and vandana shiva.
food choice is the most powerful way an individual can bring an end to inequality prevalent in access to resources, between genders , and racial biasses innate in all institutions and finally bring peace to our earth.
Food choice is only possible if we each overcome this intense addiction to
processed filth that we mistake for food.
because the addiction is linked to so many of our feelings it is challenging.
thanks for being a role model and example of this freedom from addiction.
