When you are focused on being healthy it can be easy to slide into an obsession about your lifestyle and diet. This isn’t healthy either! How can we find BALANCE and Joy in our wellness journey?
By obsession I mean you are worried about it all the time. Or you beat yourself up if you don’t meet your ideal vision of what you should be doing. Or you are so focused on the minutia of getting the right nutrients etc. that you don’t find joy in BEING healthy.
What does obsession mean to you?
In this video I share how I find joy and balance to create a sustainable healthy lifestyle that I enjoy. To me being whole & healthy means taking care of all of me, my body, my mind, my spirit and being on purpose.
After watching the video here are your action steps:
Step 1: Make a list of the things and practices in your healthy lifestyle routine, and the things you feel should be in it. Does your list include taking care of your whole self?
Step 2: Rate the items on your list from 1-10 on if you feel you are obsessed with it or moving in that direction. 1 is no obsession, 10 is very obsessed.
Step 3: Rate these items from 1-10 on the amount of joy they bring into your life. 1 is no joy, 10 is a lot of joy.
Step 4: Explore ways you can reduce the obsession and increase the joy.
